Adam Heard: "Grass Fed” CEO

A seasoned service provider with over 25 years of experience in the Property Management Service Industry. Adam is known for his fun, kind, and purpose driven personality which embodies the Butter Gutters culture. He has 3 lovely daughters that he absolutely adores and is even lucky enough to have one of them working here! You'll meet Ellie Heard soon. Adam loves to meet new people so don't be a stranger! For fun, Adam enjoys traveling to enjoy all that new cultures celebrate, including food, natural landscapes and music. You might find him at an EDM show dancing like a maniac if you're lucky!

Kellen "Clarified Ops" Marruffo: VP of Field Ops

Without Kellen, we wouldn’t be in business. He helped Adam launch Butter Gutters by being the first person to ever perform a job, setting the standard from day one. Kellen started Butter Gutters alongside Adam and is now second in command— earned through execution, trust, and impact.

Kellen runs all field operations and brings a rare mix of athletic discipline and systems thinking. A GIANT athlete and walk-on recruit at the University of Utah, baseball is in his blood. He leads the youth baseball initiatives Butter Gutters partners with, creating meaningful community connections. He has driven major efficiency gains through hands-on improvements to our equipment and processes. Outside of work, you’ll find him at the gym, gaming, building things, or at an EDM show with Ellie and Adam. He’s hilarious, driven, and committed to bringing out excellence in others.

Jesse "Pitchin' Butter" English: Senior Crew Manager

Big English, another one of our three towering humans on our staff. He is our Senior Crew Manager which means he manages all of our phenomenal Crew Leaders in the field. Jesse is a phenomenal human being with a powerful leadership style, a kind and good-hearted way about him, and a commitment to a positive end-user experience for our clients. Fun fact, Jesse played in the Big Leagues for the Washington Nationals! How cool is that?! When he's not coaching young athletes or working out, Jesse spends time with his lovely fiancé, his close friends and can be found at the beach "running routes", at a concert or at anything that involves a baseball.

Ellie "Butter Belle" Heard: Cheer Churner

Ellie is a special human being. Filled with good, fun energy and a personality that makes people feel like they are the most important person in the room, which makes her an excellent relationship developer! And she brings that gift to her role as Business Developer as she helps expand our market presence and brand awareness with her insanely bright and warm internal sunshine. When she’s not brightening our client’s days, she enjoys her time with her friends, live music concerts, playing poker (she is a SHARK!), and is a foodie to the core. You might catch her at an EDM show too! Say hi to her! She's SOOOO FUN!

Nick "Sweet Cream" Styles: Sales - Southern California

Nick Styles is a natural born people person, with a history in the auto industry...but he's far from a typical "car salesman". Nick loves helping people find what they are looking for and his curiosity is what makes him so successful. One of our favorite qualities about Nick is how he makes people feel like he's not in it for himself. His genuine interest in others is why we love him so much! Nick has 1 son and 3 teenage daughters and the way he talks about his kids says it all. Nick loves to "cruise the beach" with the top off and snowboard. He's also a former MMA Fighter, which is WILD because he's a teddy bear.

Christy "The Milk Maid" Styles: Administrative Manager

Christy is an entrepreneur who loves to build small business from conception to flawless execution. Christy is passionate about helping businesses run buttery smooth in all the right ways! With 20 years of working in the product and service industry, what makes Christy happy is quite simple, when she's made someone else’s job easier. Christy has 3 teenage daughters and 1 son, loves to design and host events with her husband at their home and when her back l allows her, get in some snowboarding during the winter. She's a WONDERFUL person and her care for others is next level!

Seth "The Organic Eye" Samuelson: Content Churner

Do you like our media??? Well shout out to Seth for all the dope content we share! Seth is an incredibly talented content creator with an emphasis on videography. He freakin' kills it at Butter Gutters and we can't wait for you to see all the amazing content we produce! Seth has a tender-hearted personality which makes him easy to be around and work with. He's also insanely disciplined and thrives on structure. Consequently, for fun, Seth loves to.....MAKE VIDEOS! How lucky are we that he gets to do what he loves as a career?! He also enjoys gaming and taking time to disconnect and ground himself. Oh...he also want the Abu Dabi Brazilian Jui-Jitsu tournament 2x as a teen....I wouldn't suggest trying to wrestle with him....just sayin'.

Julius Vose: Crew Lead

Julius joined our team in 2025 and quickly showed us his desire to take on more responsibility. Julius is one of our Crew Leaders and is responsible for leading a 4-man team on individual projects. Julius is a genuinely happy guy, which makes it fun to be around him. His smile is legit and he brings good energy with him. Outside of work, Julius is an avid poker play, pool shark and EDM Festival goer. He loves spending time with friends and is always a good person to have in a group.

Michael "Magic Mike" Van Laar: Quality Control Manager

Mike is our "Magic Mike". Chiseled like a sculpture and the hair of a Roman God but that's not where the magic is completely sourced from. Mike is a Military Veteran and taught firearm safety, use and maintenance during his service to our country. His structured personality is why we have in running our Quality Control at Butter Gutters. He is one of our first hired employees and has been instrumental in helping us smooth out our processes and field-ops systems. He is meticulous and stubborn about it we like that! Outside of work, Mike is in the gym, at the beach, skating or just lounging and enjoying his solitude.

Cayenne Starks: Crew Lead

Cayenne "Cay" Starks is one of our first crew leads. Cayenne does great work and we love having him on our team. Like all of our team members, Cay is super friendly and has a positive perspective that he views the world through. Sometimes we gotta tell him to "Go Home!" because he's always looking for things to help with. He is a major asset to our team. Outside of work, Cay enjoys Motocross, creating art, and building things. It's not unusual for someone to have a piece of hilarious art left on their desk in the office that is a product of his personality and talent!

Jon "Salted and Seasoned" Talley: Crew Lead

Jon the towering 3rd tower! Jon was the second hire at Butter Gutters and has played multiple roles until settling in as our most senior crew leads. Jon handles most of our larger projects and has one of the best "let's get it done" attitudes. Jon has a great sense of humor and his teams enjoy being on projects that Jon is responsible for. Cool things about Jon: Jon played for the Toronto Blue Jays as a catcher, he's a jack of all trades and can create an apparel line and brand as easily as he can fix an engine or whip up an insane brisket! He's a man of multiple talents and enjoys gaming, checking out concerts, cooking (seriously amazing) and a good night life sesh with his girlfriend and friends. We love Big Jon Talley!

Joseph Garcia: Crew Lead

Joseph is our newest crew lead, and let us tell you...this kid is a MACHINE! We've never seen such a young man show up with a work ethic and maturity that Joseph comes to work with EVERY. FREAKIN. DAY! He's such an amazingly talented and trustworthy leader and we see big things for him at Butter Gutters! He crew up roofing and installing gutters with his father and provides so much experience to our team. When not working, Joseph enjoys...get this....working! He won't stop! He also loves baseball, working on vehicles and studying business. One day he'll be on his own entrepreneurial journey and we plan to help him be successful when that day comes! We need more Josephs in the world.
